The common operating frequencies of LiDAR are 120GHz, 10GHz, 5GHz, 1GHz and 500KHz, etc. The common wavelengths of LiDAR are 850nm, 980nm and 1550nm, etc. Among them, LiDAR with a wavelength of 850nm is mainly used in radio networks, LiDAR with a wavelength of 980nm is mostly used in laser display, and LiDAR with a wavelength of 1550nm is often used in "ultra-critical" optical fiber communication systems and laser focusing technology.
In addition, there are many other special-purpose lidars, such as high peak power lidar, which can operate at frequencies up to 50GHz for laser welding; millimeter wave lidar, whose wavelength can reach 1.5mm, is used to measure the concentration of particulate air pollutants; multispectral lidar, whose wavelength can range from ultraviolet to near infrared, is used for planting and agriculture.
